A transcript can hide a false start, and a silence threshold can cut off the end of a word.
My approach
How I shaped the workflow.
I customized an editing workflow where the transcript determines which take survives and the waveform determines the exact cut frame.
- Inspect suspected restarts instead of trusting merged transcript text.
- Use different thresholds for speech onset and word endings.
- Deliver the edit log and editable timeline alongside the MP4.
The result
Premiere/Resolve timeline interchange, MP4, EDL, SRT and a cut log.
