Video production toolkit
A local workflow for editing decisions, captions, motion, native editing handoffs and rendered previews. I designed the handoffs and review experience around how I actually produce lessons.
Editing rules, handoffs and review workflow around existing media tools. Creative review is ongoing; individual renders are review drafts.
The problem I saw
The problem behind it.
Editing a lesson meant moving between transcripts, cuts, captions, motion tools and export folders. The handoffs were becoming the work.
My approach
How I shaped the workflow.
I assembled a local production workflow that carries a recording through editorial decisions, scene planning, rendering and review. Claude operates the tools; a review surface keeps the output and unfinished work visible.
- Use the transcript to choose the take, then the waveform to place the cut.
- Keep editable timelines, caption files and rendered previews together.
- Separate a successful export from a creative decision about whether the edit is good.
The result
A working local toolkit with playable review drafts, native editing handoffs and repeatable exports.
